Practical documents for furniture production control.

Working templates and reference documents for furniture specification, sample review, during-production and pre-shipment inspection, and quality control.

These documents reflect the type of information and inspection controls used to manage furniture production in Southeast Asia. Some are blank working templates; others are illustrative examples for reference. They are not used on every project, and the applicable requirement always follows the approved product specification, drawings, BOM and customer requirements for that order.

Stage 04 · Develop

Turning a product into an approved production reference: what a full specification looks like, how the sample is reviewed against it, and how in-house tests are recorded.

Example · RTA

RTA Furniture Product Specification: Illustrative Example

An illustrative worked example of a ready-to-assemble (RTA) furniture product specification check, covering hardware list, part list, packaging and applicable test standard. Reference only.

Stage 05 · Produce & control

How production is kept to the approved specification, from DUPRO through the pre-shipment inspection: the procedure, the defect criteria and the report.

Inspection Procedure

During-Production & Pre-Shipment Inspection Procedure

The customer-neutral DUPRO (during-production) and PSI (pre-shipment) inspection procedure: inspection control principles, material and construction checks, assembly verification, transit test and AQL, and findings follow-up with corrective action before shipment release.

Inspection Criteria

Furniture Defect Classification & Inspection Criteria

Reference criteria classifying furniture defects as critical, major or minor across appearance, construction, hardware, function and packaging. They keep inspection judgments consistent between products and inspectors.
